Questions capital allocators ask us.

About Tetrix.

What is Tetrix?

Tetrix is an investment intelligence platform for capital allocators (LPs) in private markets. It collects fund documents from GP portals and inboxes, turns them into checked, structured data, and gives investment and operations teams one place to analyze their portfolio. Every number links back to the page it came from.

Who is Tetrix for?

Tetrix is built only for capital allocators: funds of funds, family offices, pension funds, foundations, endowments, sovereign wealth funds, OCIOs and wealth managers. It isn't built for fund managers, and your GPs don't need to sign up or change how they report.

What asset classes does Tetrix cover?

Tetrix covers private market fund investments across venture capital, private equity, private credit and real estate, including co-investments and direct investments. It can also bring hedge fund and public holdings into the same look-through view, using 13F filings where managers don't report them. It doesn't provide live public market pricing.

How it works.

How do LPs automate quarterly report extraction?

LPs automate quarterly report extraction with Tetrix by connecting it to their GP portals and inboxes once. Tetrix's AI agents collect each capital account statement, quarterly report and notice as it posts, extract the figures down to each company in the fund, and check them against hundreds of financial rules. Nobody on your team downloads or re-keys a thing.

Which documents can Tetrix read?

Tetrix reads capital account statements, capital call and distribution notices, quarterly reports, financial statements, schedules of investments, K-1s and investor presentations, and can pull specific terms from LPAs and side letters. Documents can be PDF, Excel, Word or even screenshots, in any currency, and analytics roll up into one reporting currency.

Does Tetrix work with GP portals behind two-factor login?

Yes. Tetrix's AI agents log into GP portals and data rooms behind two-factor login, and keep working when a portal changes its layout. They pick up each document the moment it posts, sweep every portal periodically so nothing slips through, and collect from your inbox too.

Does Tetrix connect to our other systems?

Yes. Tetrix already works with Solovis, Bipsync and SharePoint, and you can export any view to Excel. Your own systems and AI tools such as Claude can work directly with your data through the Tetrix API and MCP server. For anything else, such as a data warehouse or accounting system, our engineers build the connection.

Can Tetrix show our exposure to one company across every fund?

Yes. Tetrix breaks every fund down to the companies inside it, so you can see your exposure to any one company across all your funds in one click. Adding up a single company across 19 positions can take three days by hand. Every number links back to the page it came from.

Can Tetrix show when GPs value the same company differently?

Yes. Tetrix compares valuations across your funds and flags when your GPs value the same company differently. One client found the same company valued 300% apart by three of its GPs.

Accuracy and AI.

How accurate is Tetrix's data extraction?

Tetrix's data extraction is 98% accurate out of the box, after every figure is checked against hundreds of private markets financial rules. Tetrix experts then review anything a rule flags, taking accuracy to 99.99%.

How do I know the AI isn't making numbers up?

You can check that Tetrix's AI isn't making numbers up, because every number links to the page it came from and every answer cites its sources. Tetrix also recalculates IRR, TVPI and DPI from your own cash flows and flags any gap with what your GP reported.

Why does accuracy matter so much in private markets?

In private markets, 99% correct is still wrong, because a wrong NAV or exposure figure can become a compliance problem and small errors compound across thousands of documents. That's why Tetrix checks every figure against hundreds of financial rules, has Tetrix experts review what gets flagged and links every number to its source page so you can verify it in one click.

Can we correct a number ourselves?

Yes. You can override any value in Tetrix, and Tetrix keeps a record of every change.

Can't we just use ChatGPT or Claude?

General AI tools such as ChatGPT and Claude are built to be useful across every industry, so they aren't built for the depth private markets operations need. Tetrix uses foundation models itself, but it also keeps your portfolio data consistent across quarters, logs into GP portals that have no API, checks every figure against hundreds of financial rules, has Tetrix experts review what gets flagged and keeps an audit trail on every value. You can still use those tools on top of your Tetrix data through our MCP server.

Couldn't we build this in-house?

You could build the AI in-house. The hard part is everything around it: logging into dozens of portals, checking every number against hundreds of financial rules, having Tetrix experts review what gets flagged, matching company names across GPs and keeping it all working as GPs change their formats. Tetrix does all of it, built for capital allocators.

Which AI models does Tetrix use?

Tetrix isn't tied to one AI model provider. It uses the model that performs best for each task and switches as models improve. Your data is never used to train those models, and identifying details are removed from anything sent to one wherever possible.

Security and data.

Is Tetrix SOC 2 certified?

Yes. Tetrix is SOC 2 Type II certified and has a penetration test every year. Data is encrypted, sign-in works through single sign-on including Microsoft Entra ID, and data can be hosted in-region, including in Canada. Every control is listed in our Trust Center at trust.tetrix.co.

What happens to our data?

Your data stays yours with Tetrix. It's never mixed with another client's, you can export all of it at any time, and it's deleted if you leave.

Does Tetrix use our data to train AI models?

No. Tetrix never uses client data to train AI models, and never mixes one client's data with another's. Anything sent to an AI model has identifying details removed first. You can export your data at any time, and it's deleted if you leave.

How Tetrix compares.

How is Tetrix different from tools like Burgiss, Canoe or Addepar?

Allocators comparing Tetrix with tools such as Burgiss, Canoe or Addepar usually find the difference is scope. Many teams use one tool to collect documents, another to extract the data and a third for analytics. Tetrix does all three in one platform, with every number traced to its source and checked by Tetrix experts, and it works only for capital allocators.

What are the alternatives to Burgiss and Canoe for LPs?

Alternatives to Burgiss and Canoe for LPs include Tetrix, the investment intelligence platform for capital allocators. Tetrix collects fund documents, extracts and checks the data, and analyzes the portfolio in one platform, where these are often bought as separate tools.

What is the difference between Tetrix and Canoe or Arch?

The difference between Tetrix and tools like Canoe or Arch is what happens after the data is collected. Canoe and Arch collect fund documents and organize the data, and Canoe feeds it to other reporting tools. Tetrix collects and extracts too, then goes further into analytics, with look-through to every underlying company, diligence on new funds and agent workflows in the same platform.

What is the difference between Tetrix and Chronograph or iLEVEL?

Chronograph and iLEVEL are portfolio monitoring platforms. Tetrix builds its look-through view from the documents it collects automatically from your GPs, checks every figure and links each number to the page it came from, and adds diligence on new funds and agent workflows.

What is the difference between Tetrix and AI tools like Hebbia and Rogo?

AI tools like Hebbia and Rogo answer questions across financial documents. Tetrix also collects your documents, keeps a checked record of every figure from quarter to quarter and links each number to its source. Agent workflows then act on that data, such as sending portfolio summaries and flagging items for your review, so your team gets more than an answer.

How is Tetrix different from a document collection tool?

A document collection tool gathers your fund documents and extracts the data. Tetrix does that too, then analyzes the portfolio in the same platform: exposure to every underlying company, performance and cash flows. There's no hand-off to a second tool.

Pricing.

How much does Tetrix cost?

Tetrix is priced per fund, per year, based on the funds you hold and the legal entities you hold them through. There are no seat limits, and product upgrades are included.

How do I get a price for my portfolio?

Your Tetrix price is built around your own portfolio, based on how many funds you hold and how many legal entities you hold them through. We build the ROI case with you, then put together a quote.

Is there a limit on how many people can use Tetrix?

No. Tetrix has no seat limits, so you can add your whole team, from operations to the investment committee, and the price doesn't change.

Getting started.

How long does it take to implement Tetrix?

Most teams go live with Tetrix in two to six weeks. A dedicated engineer handles the setup and brings your historical data across. One recent migration moved 25 years of data and 33,000 underlying assets.

What support do we get after we go live?

The same people who set you up stay with you after you go live, so there's a team you can call.

Developers and AI tools.

Does Tetrix have an API?

Yes. Tetrix has a documented API for pulling your funds, companies, cash flows, capital account statements and documents into your own systems, from a data warehouse to Excel. It's available to Tetrix clients, and if you're not a client yet, we'll walk your team through the docs as part of your demo.

Can we use Tetrix with Claude or our other AI tools?

Yes. Tetrix has an MCP server that connects your Tetrix data to AI tools such as Claude, so your team can ask questions of your verified portfolio data where they already work. It's available to Tetrix clients.
